It’s been estimated the cannabis industry and its spinoffs will employ 200,000 people throughout Canada.

The Canadian unit of Molson Coors Brewing Co said on Wednesday it will form a joint venture with marijuana-producer Hydropothecary Corp to make non-alcoholic, cannabis-infused drinks for the Canadian market.

Nevada regulators and industry insiders say the state’s first year of broad marijuana legalization has exceeded even their highest expectations, with sales and tax collections already surpassing year-end projections by 25 percent.

Analysts are projecting a $1 billion medical marijuana market in Florida by 2020.

“[Cannabis] businesses are hiring friends and neighbors to do their books. When they hire us, they don’t know the difference between assets and liabilities.”

Hundreds of businesspeople, consumers and enthusiasts gathered at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston on Friday to promote products and discuss ways to cultivate marijuana-related businesses in the budding industry.
