Young adults with chronic diseases report more daily marijuana use - Cannabis News

Patients with medical conditions are more likely to use marijuana than those without, with 11.2% of young adults living with chronic disease using it daily, according to survey results published in JAMA Open Network.

“Although marijuana is still classified as a Schedule I drug at the federal level, as of June 2019, 33 states and Washington, D.C., have legalized one or more forms of marijuana, with 11 states and Washington, D.C., having approved both medical and recreational uses,” Hongying Dai, PhD, of the University of Nebraska Medical Center, told Healio Rheumatology.
