Ireland could soon be harvesting cannabis crop to meet demand created by medical use of plant - Cannabis News

Ireland's Health Minister has said he hopes to roll out a new law around legalising cannabis for medicinal use in 2019.

Health Minister Simon Harris would like to see a homegrown crop of medical marijuana in the future.

With calls to decriminalise medical marijuana intensifying, RTE’s Ear to the Ground examined how the crop could be grown in Ireland if it is given the green light by the government.

In an interview with the station’s flagship farming series, Minister Harris said it is a major focus for him.
