Booker defends cannabis banking stance

Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) clarified that he supports marijuana banking legislation, but explained his strategy of blocking its advancement, for now, to use it as a "sweetener" to get more senators to vote for broader, justice-focused legalization first.
The House Appropriations Committee included a provision in a spending bill report that encourages federal agencies to research "the effectiveness of psychedelic therapies in treating PTSD, major depressive disorder, and other serious mental health conditions" experienced by military veterans.
