Recreational marijuana approved in Nevada: When and where can people smoke? – Cannabis News

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) - Nevada brought in new leaders and enacted new laws Tuesday, including legalizing recreational marijuana.

Where and when can you smoke without getting in trouble? On Jan. 1, 2017, people 21 and older will be able to possess and consume up to an ounce of marijuana.

Having a place to get it will take longer. Matthew Gardiner, the vice president of Shango Cannabis, says it could be anywhere from 3 to 8 months or more before the state irons out how to regulate this new industry.
