Medical Marijuana blamed for patient, clinic split

PLAINVILLE Conn. (WTNH) — A Plainville man claims discrimination after being told his medical marijuana was to blame for his counseling sessions ending.


 

Michael Purcell uses marijuana as medication. He is one of the 5,357 Connecticut residents who have been given state permission to legally use marijuana as a medication.

His severe arthritis led him to try painkillers and other medication. The post traumatic stress associated with the pain got him a doctor’s permission to use pot.
