Boston's 1st medical marijuana facility opens – Cannabis News

Boston's first medical marijuana shop is open for business. Customers can start filling prescriptions at Patriot Care Wednesday afternoon.

The dispensary is on Milk Street in the financial district. It will be the seventh medical marijuana facility in the state.

According to state health statistics, nearly 13,000 patients purchased medical marijuana in the month of June alone.

Mayor Marty Walsh told FOX25 that the dispensary had good communication with the city before opening. "They worked really hard with the community. There [were] a lot of changes made," Mayor Walsh said.
