Award-winning Chicago pastry chef Mindy Segal wants to bring her chocolates to the medical marijuana industry.
On Saturday, Segal showcased some of the sweets that might be included in her line of marijuana-infused edibles at the Professional Dispensaries of Illinois' Medical Marijuana Education Expo in Buffalo Grove.
The James Beard Award winner, who owns Mindy's Hot Chocolate in Chicago, recently became the first renowned chef to agree to create a line of products specifically for the medical marijuana industry.
It's a line she has been working on even before medical marijuana was approved in Illinois.
