Failed pot campaign in Ohio admits mistakes, says it will be back – Marijuana News

The man who led the for-profit marijuana-legalization amendment that Ohioans soundly defeated on Nov. 3 says the campaign made two major mistakes: limiting growing sites to 10 owners and using the pot-head mascot Buddie.

But in an “Open Letter to Ohioans,” Ian James, executive director of ResponsibleOhio, the organization that backed the failed amendment, said an overhauled “free market” plan will be back next year.

It will eliminate the monopoly-ownership scheme, replacing it with “a plan for people to own and operate their own grow, manufacturing and retail facilities.”
