County green-lights massive expansion of Aurora Cannabis near the community of Cremona, population 457.
At first glance, the Village of Cremona looks just like the other small communities you'll find scattered across rural Alberta.
A school, a gas station, a corner store, a small hotel, a restaurant, a bank and a hair salon are among the businesses that dot the dozen or so streets inhabited by some 457 residents.
Located on Highway 22 between Cochrane and Sundre, Cremona is the type of place where visitors are rare and those who do stop only stay for a few minutes to fill up with gas or grab a bite to eat before heading back on their way.
