Rapper Wiz Khalifa premieres cannabis line in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Lil Wayne

There's no doubt Wiz Khalifa knows his marijuana. I dare you to find a photo or video on his Instagram account where he isn't smoking, or there isn't at least some smoke around him.

So with such knowledge on weed, it's no surprise he's bringing his own line to the Great Lakes State, and he premiered it in Grand Rapids this past weekend.

You won't get your hands on his personal stash, but Wiz's on brand of Cannabis, Khalifa Kush, is now available in Michigan, specifically at Gage Cannabis locations.

Khalifa made an appearance in Grand Rapids this past weekend to debut his brand in the Mitten. He stopped by a local Gage shop and stayed for the premiere, and to interact with fans for several hours. Per the Gage Instagram account: " Created for Wiz himself back in 2012, Khalifa Kush [is] a potent, all-day Indica Dominant Hybrid OG with a classic terpene profile." And appropriately, the packaging for the Khalifa Kush comes in his customary Black and Yellow colors.

Wiz isn't the first rapper to premiere his product in Michigan. Method Man also now has a line of cannabis products available only in the state.

His TICAL "Sweet Island Skunk" is exclusive only to Michigan, and can only be found in black-owned cannabis businesses in the Detroit area.

TICAL stands for "Taking Into Consideration All Lives" from Meth's 1994 album of the same name.

So now, a number of rappers and celebrities have debuted their own lines of weed in the state of Michigan. What celebrity would you like to see premiere a cannabis line next?

Celebrities with Cannabis Lines in Michigan

Tommy Chong

Tommy Chong partnered with MKX Products to release a line of Cannabis that is ONLY available in Michigan.

Al Harrington (former NBA player)

Al Harrington owns Viola, and has a line of "Iverson '01" flower that does especially well in the Mitten.

Mike Tyson

Unfortunately, we weren't able to get Tyson's ear-shaped edibles, but he does have a line of products - Toad, Desert Toad, and Sonoran Toad - that are available in Michigan.

Jay-Z

Jay's "Monogram" line is only available in two places - California, and Michigan. His company was founded with the mission of helping empower Black and Brown communities through cannabis.

Wiz Khalifa

Wiz premiered his Khalifa Kush at Gage Products stores in June of 2022. Michigan is now one of only three states where you can find his product.

Lil Wayne

Lil' Wayne brought his GKUA Ultra Premium line of Cannabis to Michigan a couple years ago, all available in pre-rolls, flower, dabs, vapes, and gummies. Keep an eye out for the Mr. Carter OG as it's one of his flagship strains.

Method Man

Method Man was another artist to debut his line of TICAL Cannabis Products in Michigan in 2022. Currently, the only product available is an exclusive flower in pre-rolls - Sweet Island Skunk.

Jam Master Jay (Run DMC)

Seems odd to have a line of Cannabis by an artist who's no longer with us, but Jay's sons - Jesse and TJ Mizell - are carrying on the late Run DMC member's legacy with the brand Jam Master Jays. It's a 4-pack of infused joints that come in cassette tape packaging, and it's only available in California... and Michigan.
