Experts say every state will have legal or recreational marijuana rules on the books in next five years.

More of the public is getting behind the idea of decriminalizing marijuana, according to new polling.

Yet the legalization of cannabis is a patchwork quilt of local legislation that greenlights the drug for medical use in some states and provides full legal protection for recreational use in others.

A new national survey shows a majority believe individual states, as opposed to the federal government, should be regulating marijuana.
