Local senators will also be meeting with Colorado officials, law enforcement and people who work in the marijuana industry to find out how legalizing marijuana for recreational use impacted crime, how officers test for those driving under the influence of marijuana and how they keep youth from using pot.

The Senators say they want to be ready in case voters give recreational marijuana the green light in November.
