CLEVELAND, Ohio — After nabbing a spot in next week's Republican debate, John Kasich went on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" Friday night to share his ideas to a different type of audience.

Colbert and Kasich discussed his work in Ohio and what he brings to the Republican race, as well as Ohio's recent vote against legalizing marijuana.

Kasich said that he prioritized fighting against drug addiction, especially in the case of children. Legalization of marijuana, he added, would work against that.
