Columbia Care and Columbia University are collaborating on a federally funded study on the effects of medical marijuana on opioid use.

More than 2,100 certified veterinarians who are currently practicing participated in the anonymous online survey, the results of which were published in the journal Frontiers in Veterinary Studies.

Despite a bumpy rollout that has drawn lawsuits and criticism from legislators, a new report shows the number of Floridians using medical marijuana continues to grow.

More seniors are turning to medical marijuana to ease their pain. The National Council on Aging says from 2006 to 2013, cannabis use among seniors increased by 250%.

A study out of the Netherlands found that standardised pharmaceutical-grade cannabis with a high tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) content was effective in treating the musculoskeletal pain caused by fibromyalgia.

The study with generalized anxiety disorder patients is one of the first to look closely at different strains and the medicinal benefits they might offer.
