On Tuesday, D.C. Public Schools clarified its policy, telling News4 health professionals will administer medical marijuana to students in schools.

A St. Louis-based marijuana trade industry group announced Thursday morning that it developed a new training program for Missouri doctors, nurses and other healthcare providers.

New research utilizing a data-centric approach showed that marijuana significantly reduced the effects of these mental illnesses.

While more research is needed, existing studies have raised some interesting points about marijuana’s potential role in the fight against high cholesterol and cardiovascular disease.

Studies as to how it can help older people, particularly with dementia (Alzheimer's disease being the most common kind of dementia), have been lacking. However, better and newer data is now reported and the results look very promising.

California schools may soon allow parents to administer medical marijuana to their children on K-12 campuses.
