Law & Crime

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker said Saturday he’s reached an agreement with key lawmakers on a plan to legalize recreational marijuana in the state starting next year.

A common misconception about trademarks is that they are “names” that one can own after submitting an application for one.

A bipartisan group of lawmakers on Capitol Hill is asking House leadership to protect universities that conduct research on marijuana from being penalized under federal law.

Many employers in New York City could no longer require job applicants to be tested for marijuana use under legislation approved this week.

The Kalamazoo County Board of Commissioners voted down a proposal to add the word “marijuana” to its drug testing policy, that would have allowed drug testing of employees suspected of being high on the plant, which recently became legal in Michigan.

Residents can now grow cannabis for recreational use at home, but still have no way to legally buy or sell it.
