Marijuana, neighbors and families: This could get awkward, Oregon

With recreational marijuana sales starting Oct. 1, pot likely will become more visible in Oregon neighborhoods, potentially raising tensions among neighbors, especially those with young children.

Stuart Watson, neighborhood mediation coordinator at Resolutions Northwest, said marijuana is "awkward but not that different from" tobacco and alcohol when it comes to neighborhood nuisances.
